The Gold Standard
A guy with twenty years in IT,
building and running your website.
I don’t charge for the learning curve. I already paid it.
One morning you go to post and it’s gone. No warning, no reason that makes sense, and nobody to call — Facebook doesn’t have a phone number. You fill out a form, and a computer decides.
Your reviews, your followers, eight years of photos: all of it lived on their website, not yours. None of it comes with you.
When I build your website, you own it.
Everything you built, on somebody else’s terms
Not their teaser plans — the tier a real business actually ends up on, and everything that still isn’t in it.

Everything else at this price
An editor, a template library, and a blank page with your name at the top of it.
The nicest templates of the three. Still a year paid up front, and still your Tuesday night.
Cheapest way in. The domain, the email and the backups all bill separately after that.
Free, and it belongs to Facebook. So do the reviews and the followers.
Not one of those four includes your domain renewal, backups you can restore from, anybody watching it, or anybody doing the work. That is the whole difference.
Pricing checked August 2026 on annual billing. Wix Core and Squarespace Core are $29; GoDaddy Premium is $15 and sells backups separately. Month-to-month runs 20–40% higher on all three — Wix Light goes $17 to $24. Mine is $25 either way, and the domain never bills separately.
No setup fee, no build fee, no hosting invoice from somebody else, no renewal notice you have to remember. If it’s on this list, it’s handled.
Changes after it’s live are quoted before I start. New photos, new hours, a service you’ve added — tell me what you want and I’ll tell you the number first. You’ll never get an invoice you didn’t agree to. The twenty-five covers keeping it online and working, every month, for as long as you want it.
Jon — owner, and the whole company
It’s this cheap because I want the work, not because I’m new at it.
I’m Jon. I’ve run Pittsburgh IT since 2020, and I spent about fifteen years before that fixing and running technology for other people — twenty years in the field all told. Servers, networks, the machine in the back office nobody can reboot. The stuff that has to keep working.
Websites are the newer end of what I do, and I’m deliberately building that side fast. What I don’t have yet is a wall of local businesses I’ve built for. That’s the only thing missing, and it isn’t something I can buy.
So I priced it at what it actually costs me to run, and I do the building because I want your business on that wall. What I’d like back is an honest Google review once it’s live, and your OK to show your site as an example of my work. That’s the whole trade. If the site’s no good, say so in the review — I’d rather know.
The other half of the answer is less interesting: I own every piece of this. No agency, no reseller, no middleman marking it up on the way to you. Twenty years of running other people’s technology is exactly why twenty-five dollars works.
What you do, who you do it for, your hours and your phone number. Ten minutes, once, and that’s your part done.
Designed around your business from what you gave me. I’ll only come back if something’s missing.
A private link, and one round of changes. Tell me what’s wrong and I fix it before anything goes live.
Hosting, backups, patches, monitoring. It stops being something you think about.
The last one is the product. Everything else is just getting there.
Every lead texted and emailed to you within seconds, answered automatically so the customer hears back before they call the next guy, and saved to a dashboard that’s yours. I built it myself — it only runs on sites I build and host.
There isn’t one, but there is a shape to it — the plan is called The Gold Standard and it’s one page, done properly. If your business needs ten pages, that’s a custom build and a different number. There’s a twelve-month minimum, and a $100 fee if you leave inside it. That’s the whole agreement, and you can read it here before you spend anything.
Twenty-five a month, and nothing up front. No build fee, no setup fee, no hosting bill from anybody else — and no separate domain renewal, which is the one everybody forgets to budget for.
No. I build it around what your business actually does — your services, your hours, your photos, your words. You don’t pick a design out of a catalogue, and no two of these look alike.
Most go live in two to three weeks from the day you send the sheet back. The only thing that slows it down is waiting on photos, and if you don’t have any, I work with what you’ve got.
You get a draft on a private link and one round of changes. Tell me what’s wrong and I fix it. Nothing goes live until you’ve said yes to it.
It’s a good thing to have, and it isn’t yours. Facebook can restrict or remove a page without warning, the reviews and followers don’t come with you, and plenty of your customers won’t look there. A website is the one place online that can’t be taken from you.
Yes, and it’s part of what you’re paying for. I can’t watch a site, renew it, or fix it at two in the morning if the domain sits in an account I can’t reach. It stays registered to your business, it stays yours, and it comes with you if you ever leave — it just lives where I can actually do the job. The renewal stops being something you have to remember.
No. Your mail settings move across untouched and I check them before and after, so nothing stops arriving. This is the part cheap migrations get wrong, and it’s exactly the kind of thing twenty years in IT is for. If you’re on a Gmail or Yahoo address and want a real one at your own domain, that’s a separate add-on.
Email me or call me. I’ll tell you the number before I start, so you always know what it costs first. Nothing gets billed that you didn’t agree to.
I find out before you do. Uptime monitoring runs around the clock and the alert comes to me, not to you. That’s the part twenty years in IT is actually for.
Built from scratch, as many pages as it takes, copy written for you. Most land between $5,000 and $8,000, then $150 a month to keep it running.
