This Agreement is between Pittsburgh IT LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “Pittsburgh IT”), reachable at [email protected] and , and the business that signs up for The Gold Standard website plan (“you” or “the Client”). This plan is purchased for business use — not for personal, family, or household purposes. The Agreement is written in plain English on purpose — it says what we do, what it costs, and who owns what. No surprises.
This is the only agreement for this plan. There is one plan and one document. If you have seen a different figure or an older agreement from us, those are retired and this one replaces them.
1. The plan at a glance
| What you get | A website built for your business, plus the hosting, the web address, the monitoring and the lead response described in Section 4. |
|---|---|
| Price | $25 for your first year, charged the day you sign up, or other pricing agreed with you in writing. Then our then-current renewal price — $300 per year as of October 2026 — charged automatically to the card on file on each anniversary of your signup. Both plus applicable Pennsylvania sales tax. Front Desk is included in this price. |
| Build cost | $0. There is no build fee and no setup fee. The plan price is the whole cost of the plan. |
| Renewal | The plan renews automatically every year at our then-current renewal price on the card saved at signup. If that price changes, we email you the new price at least 30 days before your renewal. You can cancel any time before a renewal (Section 6). |
| Content changes | Quick fixes are free — a phone number, your hours, a price, a small wording correction. Anything beyond that is quoted before we start, and you approve the number first (Section 4). |
| Who owns the site | The site files, the code and the design are ours. Your domain is registered in your name and is yours. Your plan keeps the site live and working for you for as long as it is active (Section 8). |
| Reviews | We ask for an honest Google review and an honest Facebook review once your site is live. It is a request, not a condition — nothing about your price or your service depends on it (Section 7). |
| If you stay | Your site keeps running on our platform and your plan renews each year at our then-current renewal price. |
| If you stop paying | The site comes down (Section 9). |
| If you leave | Your account must be current, and a one-time $100 offboarding fee is paid up front. The fee is not optional. Once it has cleared we take the site down, release your domain, and send you every lead it captured. The site files stay ours — if you want them, that is a separate one-time buyout and we will quote it (Section 8). |
| Your domain | We register it in your name — you own it from day one — then set it up, manage it, and pay its renewal at our cost for as long as your plan is active. Already own a domain? It stays yours, and we can point it at your new site or bring it under our management (Section 5). |
| What we need from you | Your business information, your logo and photos if you have them, and a card on file for the annual charge. We handle everything else. |
2. How this Agreement is accepted
No signature is required, and nothing here is hidden from you before you pay. At checkout you tick a box agreeing to our published terms, which link to this page; your first invoice then confirms it, whatever its amount, and the invoice says so on its face. Each annual payment reaffirms your acceptance of the version of this Agreement that governs your current year.
This Agreement is published at pgh-it.com/terms/website-plan, with its version number and effective date at the top. If we update it, changes apply to new signups and, for existing clients, only from your next renewal year forward — never retroactively during a year you have already paid for. Prior versions are archived and available on request.
3. What we build
We design and build a website for your business — your services, your hours, your service area, your contact details, and the photos you provide — and we launch it on your own web address, built mobile-first, with hosting, HTTPS, and search-engine basics configured.
Your design is used for your business alone. We do not sell, give, or re-use your finished site for another business.
Photos and content. We build from your existing brand, photos, and business information. If you do not have usable photos, we work from what is available — your Facebook page, your Google listing, and stock photography appropriate to your trade. You answer a few questions; we do the rest.
Changes before launch are free. Tell us what you want different and we do it before the site goes live. Getting your information right is part of the build, not a change. Changes after launch are handled under Section 4.
Launch timing. We aim to launch within 10 business days of receiving your business information. If we have not received what we need within 30 days of signup, we may build and launch from your publicly available information so your schedule is not held up.
What counts as a page. A page is one address on your site. This plan covers a single-page site. If your business needs more than that, a multi-page or custom build is a separate service and we will quote it before we start.
4. What your plan covers every year, and what it does not
Your plan covers building the site and keeping it online, secure, and answering:
- Hosting, HTTPS, and uptime monitoring. Your site runs on modern, secure infrastructure. There is no WordPress, no plugins, and nothing to patch — which removes the most common way small-business websites get hacked. We are alerted if your site stops responding.
- Front Desk. When someone contacts you through your site they receive an immediate reply, and you receive an alert with their name and details. Front Desk runs on our platform and is included while your plan is active, at no extra charge (Section 8). We may change, replace or retire Front Desk features with 30 days’ written notice. If we do, your contact form will keep delivering every lead to your email, and nothing about your price changes mid-year.
- Your web address. Registration, renewal, and DNS handled for you, at no extra cost, for as long as your plan is active (Section 5).
- Backups and security patching of the platform your site runs on.
Ongoing work is not included. This plan builds your site and keeps it online. It is not a maintenance retainer.
Changes before launch are included. Getting the site right before it goes live is part of the build, not a change (Section 3).
After launch, quick changes are free. A new phone number, a change to your hours, a price, a small correction to the wording — send it over and we take care of it, at no charge. We ask only that it stays within reason. This is something we are glad to do, not a maintenance plan, and if a request has grown past a quick fix we will say so plainly and quote it before we start.
Everything else is quoted first. Ongoing updates, new photos, new sections, added pages, new copy, a new service — tell us what you want and we will quote you a fixed price before any work begins. Nothing is billed by the hour, and nothing starts until you have agreed to the price. You will never receive an invoice you did not agree to in advance.
5. Your web address (domain)
Domains we register for you. If you do not have one, we register a domain for your business. It is registered in your name — you are the legal owner from day one. We manage it in our registrar account and pay its registration and renewal at our own cost for as long as your plan is active, so you never have to touch DNS settings or renewal notices.
Domains you already own. They stay yours, always. If you already own a domain we will point it at your new site rather than require you to move it. If you would rather we managed it, we can bring it into our registrar account with your authorization, at no extra cost. You remain the registered owner throughout.
If you leave. Your account must be current: the year you are in paid in full, all other invoices for work on your account paid, and a one-time $100 offboarding fee paid up front. The fee is not optional — offboarding is outside your plan, which covers keeping your site running, not moving you off it. The fee covers taking your site off our platform, disconnecting it from our systems, exporting your leads, and releasing your domain. It does not cover the site files themselves — those stay ours, and can be bought separately (Section 8). Once everything has cleared, we complete the handover within 10 business days of your written request. Transfers are subject to registry rules — for example, registries prohibit transferring any domain during the first 60 days after registration.
6. Term, payment, and renewal
This plan runs in one-year terms and renews automatically. $25 plus Pennsylvania sales tax is charged when you sign up and covers your first year, unless other pricing for your first year was agreed with you in writing. From your second year the plan renews at our then-current renewal price plus Pennsylvania sales tax — $300 per year as of October 2026 — charged automatically to the card on file on each anniversary of your signup. The renewal price in effect is disclosed to you at signup.
If the renewal price changes. We may change the renewal price. If we do, we email you the new price at least 30 days before your next renewal. It applies from that renewal on — never to a year you have already paid for. If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel before the renewal and you will not be charged.
A card on file is required. A valid card with automatic payment is a requirement of the plan.
Cancelling. You may cancel at any time before your next renewal with written notice (email is fine). Cancelling stops the next annual charge; the year you have already paid for runs to its end, and your site stays online until then. We do not refund a year already paid. If you want your domain released rather than simply letting the year run out, the offboarding fee in Section 5 applies.
If we are the holdup. If your launch is delayed more than 30 days after signup for reasons within our control, we extend your first year by the length of the delay. Delays caused by waiting on your information do not extend it (Section 3).
Pennsylvania sales tax applies to these services and is added to each invoice. All prices are before tax.
7. Reviews — an ask, not a condition
Once your site is live we will ask you for an honest review on Google and an honest review on Facebook. We ask because we are building this side of the business and a real review from a real business is worth more to us than another advert.
It is a request and nothing else. Your price, your plan, your site, and the service you get do not change in any way if you choose not to leave one, and we will not ask twice. We never ask you to say anything other than what you actually think — if the site is not good, say so.
Separately, you give us permission to show your finished website — screenshots, a link, and your business name — in our portfolio, on our website, and in our marketing. You can ask us in writing to stop at any time after your first year: within 30 days we will remove the live link and your business name from anything we control. Screenshots of the design stay in our portfolio, without your name on them.
8. Who owns what
While your plan is active: the website — its files, its code, and its design — is Pittsburgh IT’s property. Your plan gives you the full use of it: the site stays live for you to send customers to, and it keeps working for you for as long as your plan is active. Any domain we register for you is registered in your name and is yours from the start; we manage it and pay for it while your plan is active (Section 5).
If you leave: your account must be current and the $100 offboarding fee paid up front (Section 5). The fee is not optional. Once it has cleared we take the site down and release your domain to you. You get a copy of every lead your site has captured, and we permanently delete them from our systems — we do not keep your customer list after you leave. The site files stay ours.
If you want the site files: a buyout is available on request. The files, the code and the design transfer to you for a one-time buyout fee, paid up front and priced at the time you ask. We will quote you the number before you commit to anything. It is a separate charge from the offboarding fee, and buying it is the only way the files change hands.
Always yours: your business name, logo, photos, and any content you provide remain yours at all times. Every lead, call, and customer your site generates is yours alone — we never resell or share them.
Always ours: our internal tools, templates, code libraries, and know-how used to build and run sites. Nothing we host, operate, or run on our own systems is part of the site you receive — whatever it is, and whenever we added it. That includes Front Desk and everything attached to it: “included” in your plan means included while your plan is active. Where our templates, markup, and stylesheets are embedded in your site, you get a permanent, non-exclusive licence to use them as part of that site, and that licence transfers with the site if you sell your business. Your right to use anything running on our platform ends when your plan ends.
If you buy the files: we disconnect the site from everything of ours it touches and hand it to you as static files that run anywhere, with any connection back to our systems removed. Anything that relied on our platform — including your contact form — will need a new home before it works again; we will tell you what to replace and can quote the work.
Credit line. Every site we build carries a small credit in the footer — “Website & forms by Pittsburgh IT” — linking to pgh-it.com. The credit is part of the site as built and stays in place, including if the site files are ever transferred to you. Removing, hiding, or obscuring it is not permitted.
9. If a payment fails
Most failed payments are an expired card, not a problem — so nothing drastic happens right away:
- We retry the card automatically over several days and email you a heads-up.
- If it still has not gone through within 14 days of the first failed payment, your website is temporarily suspended (replaced with a “temporarily unavailable” page). Bring the account current and it is back online within hours.
- If the account remains unpaid 45 days after the first failed payment, the plan terminates: the site comes down and we stop paying to renew your domain. Because the domain is registered in your name, you can take over its renewal directly — we will tell you before we stop, and what you need to do. Once a domain expires it can be registered by anyone and may be unrecoverable.
Bringing the account current at any point before termination puts everything back as it was, at your plan’s price.
10. Your price
Your first year is $25, unless other pricing was agreed with you in writing. Each renewal year after that is billed at our then-current renewal price — $300 per year as of October 2026 — subject to the notice in Section 6. Both are before Pennsylvania sales tax, which is added at whatever rate applies at the time. Front Desk is included — there is no separate charge for it.
- If your plan terminates and you come back later, you come back at whatever the price is then.
- Work that is not part of the plan — anything quoted under Section 4, and buying the site files under Section 8 — is priced when you ask for it.
11. What this plan does not include
To keep the plan simple and the price honest, the following are separate services, quoted on request: ongoing updates and any change to the site beyond the quick fixes described in Section 4, transfer of the site files (Section 8), additional pages beyond the one included, redesigns or custom layouts, Google Business Profile setup and management, social media management, ongoing SEO campaigns, paid advertising, e-commerce or online booking systems, email hosting (for example Microsoft 365), copywriting, and photography.
12. Your responsibilities
You agree to: (a) provide accurate business information and keep us reasonably informed of changes; (b) only provide content you have the right to use — photos, logos, text, and reviews; (c) use the site and services lawfully; and (d) maintain a working payment method. You are responsible for the accuracy of claims about your own business (licensing, insurance, certifications, pricing) that you ask us to publish.
If you materially breach this Agreement and do not fix it within 15 days of our written notice, we may suspend or terminate the plan. A year already paid is not refunded in that case.
13. Service standards and disclaimer
We will perform all services in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards. If something we did does not meet that standard, tell us within 30 days and we will redo it at no charge — that is your remedy and our promise. Beyond that, the services are provided “as is”: we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, search-engine rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue, and we disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent the law allows.
And this cuts both ways: if we materially fail to provide the services described in this Agreement and do not fix it within 30 days of your written notice, you may terminate this Agreement and we will refund the unused portion of the year you have paid for.
14. Liability limits
Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Each party’s total liability under this Agreement is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, your obligation to pay fees, or anything that cannot be limited under law. Both of us agree these limits are a fair allocation of risk that makes this pricing possible.
15. General
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control (outages, disasters, vendor failures, and the like) — except payment obligations.
- Governing law and venue. Pennsylvania law governs, and disputes belong exclusively to the state and federal courts of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Before anyone files anything, we both agree to try to resolve the dispute by good-faith discussion for 30 days.
- Notices. Written notice by email is sufficient: to us at [email protected]; to you at the email address on your account.
- Text message alerts (SMS). If you provide a mobile number for alerts, you agree that Pittsburgh IT may text that number about your account — new-lead notifications from your website, follow-up reminders, and service updates. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to text messages is not a condition of purchasing our services, and opting out of texts will not affect your plan — you will still receive the same alerts by email.
- Entire agreement. This Agreement (plus your signup confirmation) is the entire agreement for this plan and replaces any prior discussions, and any prior published agreement for a website plan. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stands.
- Assignment. Neither party may assign this Agreement without the other’s consent, except to a successor in a sale of the business, with written notice.
